Meta invites users to request early access to Muse AI features

Meta has begun accepting requests for early access to new capabilities in its Muse AI app, following announcements at Connect 2026. Users can ask Muse directly to add them to the early access list, a move aimed at attracting AI enthusiasts who test multiple apps. Teased features include a video-chat digital avatar, expanded shopping partnerships and connectors, a more capable Mac app, and Muse integration with Meta's AI glasses.
Meta announced the early access sign-up after unveiling several Muse updates at its Connect 2026 developer event. Instead of a conventional beta, interested users can instruct the assistant itself to register their interest, and Meta also shared a prompt link on X.
The teased additions include a digital avatar for video conversations, broader shopping tie-ins and connectors, a stronger Mac version that can perform tasks on a computer, and Muse support in Meta's AI glasses via wake-word commands. Meta appears to be courting experienced AI users who compare many apps.
If early access draws dedicated AI users, their feedback could shape how Muse evolves before wider release. That may affect everyday users who later rely on the assistant for shopping, video interaction, or computer tasks, as well as people using Meta's glasses. It could also influence how competitors design onboarding and beta programs. The societal effects remain uncertain, since access, privacy, and usability outcomes may vary across communities.
